Ethernet vs Wi-Fi

When a cable is the better choice.

Technical

  1. Ethernet is usually more consistent for gaming, video calls, and speed tests because it avoids radio interference.
  2. Use Wi-Fi for mobility; use a cable for the devices that need the steadiest connection.
  3. If Wi-Fi feels laggy, a short Ethernet run to a desktop or console is often the fastest improvement.
  4. Powerline adapters or mesh systems can help when cabling is difficult — ask support for practical options.
