Router placement
Where to put your router for better coverage.
Wi-Fi
- Place the router in a central, elevated, open location — not inside a metal cabinet or on the floor.
- Keep it away from microwaves, thick concrete walls, and dense appliance clusters when possible.
- Avoid covering antennas or stacking the router under other electronics that radiate heat.
- After moving the router, retest the weakest room before changing other settings.
